The problem
Visual concealment only works if it survives attention. Spotters, analysts, and operators need a structured way to assess how camouflage and concealment read under detection-style scrutiny — not slogans, and not one-off opinions.
That assessment is hard to do consistently across patterns, conditions, and observers.

What VEIL is
VEIL is field-oriented tooling for camouflage and visual concealment effectiveness analysis. It helps spotters and analysts evaluate how well concealment holds up under attention and detection-style analysis — turning subjective “looks ok” into a more repeatable evaluation workflow.
VEIL is a productization of lessons from hard, hands-on problem-solving. It is still maturing: capabilities expand with use, feedback, and careful validation.

What VEIL is not
- Not a military certification or compliance stamp
- Not a go / no-go authority for maneuvers or operations
- Not a guarantee that every concealed position or actor will be found — or missed
- Not a substitute for trained human judgment in the loop

Who it helps
Teams that need to reason carefully about visual concealment effectiveness — including spotters, analysts, and organizations that evaluate camouflage under structured attention/detection-style review. Engagement depth can range from guided evaluation with Argus to more product-led use as VEIL matures.
